About: We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Chef to join the team at 14 Bridge Italian Restaurant, located in Richmond, Victoria. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen to contribute to a growing restaurant renowned for its quality and service.

Job Responsibilities:
As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the preparation of high-quality dishes while maintaining food safety and hygiene standards. This position offers a chance to work in a dynamic kitchen, with the opportunity to innovate and collaborate on menu planning and culinary creations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation & Cooking:
• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, maintaining high-quality standards and presentation.
• Ensure all meals are prepared according to the kitchen’s recipes and standards.
2. Menu Planning & Cost Management:
• Assist in menu planning, estimating food and labor costs to ensure efficient kitchen operation.
• Manage food supplies, including ordering and maintaining stock levels, while reducing waste.
3. Team Leadership & Supervision:
• Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, ensuring consistent food quality and kitchen performance.
• Lead by example to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.
4. Food Safety & Hygiene Compliance:
• Follow all safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring food is stored and handled safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety standards.
5. Collaboration & Guest Satisfaction:
• Collaborate with the front-of-house team to provide a seamless dining experience for guests.
• Address guest feedback and complaints regarding food quality promptly and professionally.
6. Equipment Maintenance:
Manage kitchen equipment, reporting maintenance or repair needs to management.

Job Qualifications:
• Certification in Culinary Arts or equivalent.
• Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience in menu planning, food preparation, and managing kitchen operations.
